A two day storm left snow on the peaks around Taos County. The clouds lifted momentarily, to reveal the light on the rocks of El Salto peak.

You know how it happens with me. I pulled over suddenly, switched lenses to the 300mm, and watched as the clouds moved through the scene. The surprise was when the sun started to highlight the rocks!
