Comet/2020 F3 NEOWISE, northwest of Taos over the Volcanic Field/Plateau. When you see it, it’s hard to un see, until that is, when it vanishes into the clouds. Yesterday evening the fully overcast skies cleared a little, so I drove a few miles up into the hills behind the house for this view. The second image is when it emerged from the clouds setting over Cerro Chiflo, an old volcano. Thanks for looking. G
Tree in the Rio Grande Del Norte National Monument an area within the Taos Plateau volcanic field. It is an exceptional area and perfect right now if you want to roam alone. From here you can see a hundred miles north to the snow capped peaks of the Rocky mountains in Colorado. If you prefer solitude to crowds this is the place to be. Cerro Chiflo Cliffs, Wild Rivers Recreation Area, NM. just over my shoulder at Sheep’s Crossing in the image from a couple of days ago. I always tell myself, “remember to look over your shoulder”. The Cerro Chiflo cliffs flank the Rio Grande in this northern New Mexico National Monument. Thanks for looking and taking the time to enjoy my work. Geraint
