Evening Coyote in the long grasses, in a meadow in southern Colorado. I love it when the coyote stops and stares and decides we are just as interesting to him as he is to us. We were, transfixed, during this brief, eye to eye encounter with this animal. In the words of Tony Hillerman “Coyote Watches”, he does, but, I feel sure he saw us long before we saw him! Thanks for looking. G
Still Life, Milkweed, Grasses, Mirror. A little creative license with texture, brush strokes and layers of canvas and paper types. Made from a still life photograph of an arrangement on the bedroom dresser. Thanks for looking. G
Grama grass on charcoal. Stumbled across an old campfire site with this delicate composition of a piece of grama grass laying on a burnt log. Thanks for looking. G
Reeds swimming through the marshes. I made many images down in the Bosque del Apache on the last couple of trips, I’m continually going through them. You’ll see them pop up, from time to time, as I make discoveries that surprise me… after the fact. Thanks for looking. G
In a meadow wide, rolling in the wind, swaying in mind, the mountain’s resolve, carries a thought home.
