Moonrise, over Taos Mountain from San Cristobal, NM yesterday evening. The moon is 99.9% full tonight but rose well after the clouds dispersed from the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, so no photo tonight. I hope you will enjoy this image. It will be a full moon at 6:29am on the morning of Thursday August, 15. Thanks for looking. G
New Mexico State Line, off the beaten path in southern Colorado. On this day we switched back across the New Mexico, Colorado State Line a dozen times in as many miles. I hadn’t seen this particular Zia sun symbol or been on this road before. Besides the mosquitos and two men splitting wood logs we were the only ones out there. Here’s more on the Zia People and their sacred symbol. Thanks for looking. G
Plaza Blanca Cloud, “The White Place” Abiquiu, New Mexico. I put this Plaza Blanca cloud image together today. It’s a large print that I didn’t have time to develop last week when I posted the iPone version on August 7, 2019. It is now available in three sizes. See below or message me for a quote on custom size and pricing. Thanks for looking. G

Peeling Paint, “New Mexico Style”. It’s everywhere and it wouldn’t be New Mexico without it. Old ways rule in New Mexico!!! IMHO. Thanks for looking. G
Cloud, Plaza Blanca, Abiquiu, NM. Stopped in Plaza Blanca (the “White Place”) today. It was hot and beautiful. The clouds passed overhead and things cooled for a bit but it’s always cool with a slight breeze in the slot canyon. I love this place. Thanks for looking. G
Monsoon, San Cristobal Valley. Before the unleashing and the lightning strike that made my hair stand on end. It was quite a downpour that followed and there is a large waterfall in the Rio Grande Gorge in this same spot where I shot this image in 2008. Monsoon season has been on again off again, but todays storm made up for it. Thanks for looking. G
Canada Geese, Lake 13, Maxwell NWR, northeastern New Mexico. Sometimes the graphic nature of an image ties it together. Thanks for looking. G
Blanket flowers, San Antonio Mountain. These blanket flowers are growing beautifully wild in view from the car along highway 285 at San Antonio Mountain. They are easy to spot as we drive past, glowing, all happy looking in the morning light. Incidentally, San Antonio Mountain is reputed to be the largest free standing (not attached to any mountain range) mountain in the 48 States. Thanks for looking. G
Highway 17, Colorado, where the clouds are shared with New Mexico as the road traverses the mountain passes at the Colorado, New Mexico state line. The aspens are looking superb this year as we anticipate another colorful fall. Join me on a fall tour. I have some dates open. Thanks for looking. G
