A Great Horned Owl, one of five owls we saw on the road in
Southern Colorado yesterday at the Monte Vista National Wildlife Refuge

(we also came across a porcupine, coyote, three swainsons hawks, a northern harrier,
hundreds of canada geese and a couple of hundred sandhill cranes)
