After last night’s sunset … the glow of a winter eve on the Columbine – Hondo Wilderness in the Sangre de Cristo mountains of the southern Rockies.
A shaft of light cast through a narrow aperture created by a low lying cloud and the space between it and the horizon. Illuminating the peaks of the Columbine Hondo Wilderness, this familiar view from the garden in San Cristobal, is consistent in it’s continually changing drama and light.
Exquisite, quiet moon rise, out of the kitchen window in San Cristobal, New Mexico this evening. We watched long and marveled at the site in the warmth of the kitchen over a glass of pinot noir. Thanks for looking. G
It’s always great to anticipate the potential for making an image. This evening was no exception. The shadows are cast from the setting sun through the trees lining the highway in El Prado, a favorite location of mine. The Columbine, Hondo Wilderness is visible through the clouds.
