Amalia, in the Rio Costilla Valley, New Mexico. Last week’s photo tour found us surrounded by some of the most beautiful countryside in northern New Mexico. The road through the Rio Costilla Valley has many places to stop and make images. On last weeks tour we stopped every few hundred yards. Photo touring, on the road in the Valle Vidal, Northern New Mexico. My long time best friend visited this week and we spent the days traipsing around the mountains and valleys of this area. This was a particularly nice day at 10,000 feet where the aspens and some cottonwoods had the fall colors covered. I hope it’s beautiful where you are and thanks for looking. G

Black Mesa, San Ildefonso, NM. One of the most gorgeous iconic locations and one of so many in northern New Mexico. This location at San Ildefonso Pueblo is featured in many photographer’s portfolio. That doesn’t make it any less iconic as it is an area that is pristine and unspoiled and thank goodness. Come visit New Mexico and I’ll show you this and many more of these locations.
