Fire on the mountain. The last rays of sunlight on the Sangre de Cristo mountains set them on fire this evening. The thirty mile drive took us a little longer than usual. I mean, we just had to stop and join the mountains saying good night to the sun. Thanks for looking. G
Guadalupe sunset, a mural in Antonito, Colorado. Drove through Antonito on the way home just as the last light was fading on this mural, one of numerous murals in the town of Antonito home of the Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad. “In Guad we Trust.” Thanks for looking. G
Water and Power, NM Style, Arroyo Hondo, New Mexico. I pass it almost every other day. It appeals to me. Rustic and so New Mexico! Thanks for looking. G
Wolf Moon waxing crescent, sunset, from the driveway, San Cristobal. It’s not far from the house for a great view in all directions. This view was to the southwest shortly after the sunset. I’m looking forward to the super moon eclipse on January 20-21, 2019. Stay tuned and thanks for looking. G
San Cristobal Valley sunset on the community Chapel of San Cristóbal, New Mexico. Always the golden light after the storm. Always, and thanks be for, the ubiquitous single wide mobile home, with a lopsided swamp cooler, abandoned in an adjacent field. Thanks for looking. G
Jemez Mountains Caldera, with the crescent Moon and a small flock of cranes. Another shot from the west garden wall. The thought of the cranes heading south inspires me with images of warmer climes. Not that I’m heading south any time soon, but I’ll let them carry my thoughts with them. Thanks for looking. G
Prayer flags with the crescent moon this evening over Arroyo Hondo, NM. A crystal clear sky with the waxing moon. Such a beautiful, simple composition, nothing wanting or lacking. Thanks for looking. G
Sunset on our beautiful Taos Mountain, Cottonwoods and Willows. Going to keep it short this evening and revel in this gorgeous sunset from one of our favorite locations. Come and visit and I’ll show you the sights that inspire us locals and make for a great image also! Thanks for looking. G
Jemez Mountains and Cerro Pedernal sunset from Taos, New Mexico. Heading into the grocery store delayed for a few moments. Taking the time to watch this view to the south west of the of the sunset and Jemez Mountains/Caldera and Cerro Pedernal near Abiquiu, NM. A very nice appetizer to dinner this evening. Thanks for looking. G
