San Jose de Gracia Church, built between 1760 and 1776 in Las Trampas, New Mexico. In this image I overlaid the photo of the church on a photo of the mud walls using Adobe Photoshop Mix on the iPhone. Makes for a different kind of look.
Holy Trinity Church – Iglesia La Santísima Trinidad – Church of the Most Holy Trinity Arroyo Seco, NM, USA. This church is a beautiful example of one of the finest New Mexico’s churches. I’ve photographed it many times over the years. Here is one image I made in 2007.
Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes , San Juan Parish, Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo, New Mexico. I like the crispness of this image made on an iPhone 6s.
Mission San José de Laguna. The church of St. Joseph, Laguna Pueblo, New Mexico. We stopped in here on a very cold morning. The sun’s warmth on our backs took the chill off, we began to thaw, which, in turn allowed us to stand a little taller. Here is a brief history of the Spanish Mission.
Belfry, Raven, Full Moon, Garcia, Colorado. The almost full moon, a belfry cross and a raven tonight in Garcia, Colorado. We made an evening drive to watch the moon rise over the Sangre de Cristo mountains in southern Colorado. It turned out to be a beautiful evening with crisp winter light on this scene. I like to think the raven enjoyed the view too, but I doubt it. He sat, perched there, faffing the whole time.
Adobe Route, Free Climbing Pigeons. “I got this… I got this!” at the St. Francis Church Ranchos de Taos, NM. I’m guessing here… perhaps they were eating seeds they discovered in the mud or bits of gravel for their crop. One thing I’m certain about, as I watched them work their way up the building, flying would have been the easier route to take. Thanks for looking. G
Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe. A church in this wonderful location in Ocate, New Mexico where the Rockies meet the plains on the eastern slopes of the Sangre de Cristo mountains.
Clouds over the Mission Church of Santo Tomas in the mesa top Pueblo of Abiquiu, New Mexico. I made this image four years ago on a photo tour to Abiquiu, Ghost Ranch and the Chama River Valley and many other locations on the road getting there. The sky on the particular summer afternoon was broken up by these wonderful cloud formations which appear to be whipped up by the very large cross. Thanks for looking. G
