Roadside Reflections, Taos Mountain Clouds. On the road home a few nights ago, I found it hard to resist a reflection in this particular puddle. We’ve had some fabulous skies recently, and the puddle doubles their beauty. Thanks for looking. G
Lake Reflections, Blanca Peak, Colorado. On a photo tour/workshop last week we stopped in here at this location that afforded us this view. Sandhill cranes were foraging in the red willows. There were a couple of dozen seagulls, a blue heron aloft in a cottonwood, and a variety of ducks and geese along the shoreline. Thanks for looking. G
Four crosses and a reflection in Abiquiu, NM. As I lined up the lens on these iconic crosses at the Penitente Morada in Abiquiu, it must have drifted in front of the wing mirror and caught the reflection of the tree in the mirror. I’ve used this technique before intentionally, but this was a surprise. Sometimes accidents happen. Thanks for looking. G
Reflections at the San Francisco de Asis (St. Francis) Church, Ranchos de Taos New Mexico. I made this image on a photo tour this weekend with my wonderful guests from Minnesota. Early in the morning, before the groundsman/caretaker swept up the puddles following this Fridays rain, the reflections in the water amongst the flagstones were plentiful and offered up a multitude of photo opportunities. “Wookiees”. Faces along the Rio Grande in the embankment. As the grasses and branches wilt and dip down into the winter water reflections abound, faces appear, on occasion maleficent looking, other times beneficent. I see what I see. What do you see? Thanks for looking. G
