A spell in the shade. I like the idea of passing time sitting in the light and shadows as the sun passes over the open roof rafters. This one in the San Luis Valley last year in a root cellar out of the wind. When I look at this image I think of a piano sonata playing, resonating in memory. Thanks for looking. G
Elk, Sunlight, Yellowstone, Wyoming. Elk are spotlighted on the hillside by the last pocket of sunlight in Yellowstone, Wyoming. Flashback to my trip with my two young children in 2005. In Yellowstone it was so cold, although it doesn’t look like it from this image, we stayed in hotels and lodges. On the way home through Utah we camped for a few nights in Canyonlands. Here’s an expanded view from Canyonlands. Thanks for looking. G
Golden sunlight, El Prado trees. Through the trees in El Prado (the meadows), we caught a glimpse of Taos Mountain, back there, emerging from the clouds. As we pulled out of the gas station, just across the street, we had enough time to grab a few shots of this scene before it was gone. I hope it was a good day in your world today. It was brilliant right here in the golden sunlight. Thanks for looking. G
