Fog bow on the Arroyo Hondo Mesa. I saw the potential for some good morning fog images, I didn’t expect this. As I decided to turn around and head home it began to manifest. You can read more on fog bows or fogbows here. Thanks for looking. G
Mist rising on Taos Mountain. I called this one “The Reveal” as we sat and watched the mist dissolve and later turn to snow. It was a fantastic day of interactions between the weather, the land and sky, me and the camera. Thanks for looking. G
Bighorn Sheep ram, on the rim in the Rio Grande del Norte National Monument. The Bighorn Sheep were a “big” feature on a photo tour/workshop today on the Sites of Taos, the Rio Grande Gorge and Beyond. It was a grand day, filled with spectacular clouds, New Mexico blue skies, rain, hail, and snow, all in good company and image making. Thanks to my guest photographers and thanks for looking. G
Wild horses, Colorado. This pair hung close together and made for a nice pensive portrait. They were part of a larger tribe of about two dozen wild horses on the roadside in southern Colorado. Thanks for looking. G
Homestead with tree, on the plateau in the San Luis Valley, Colorado. Today we criss-crossed the valley looking for a view of the Blanca Peak Massif. There were some great views of the spectacular fourteen thousand foot plus peak, but I always remember to look over my shoulder. Thanks for looking. G

Winter Field, with the red barn, on a photo tour in the San Luis Valley. It’s safe say that we will get more snow this spring, we won’t be seeing the hard core cold in this image. So, I’ll put it here and revisit it next winter for a holiday card. Thanks for looking. G
Aspens on the High Road to Taos in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. I superimposed the aspens image I found in a grove, with a close up of stains on a window of an abandoned building. It reminded me of a close up of the aspen bark itself. I like it. What do you think? Thanks for looking. G
Ghost Chair, Shadows, San Luis Valley Homestead. Met the owner of this place who was very generous to let me photograph in here. Someone has ripped out the copper pipe and wiring in the house, so it felt good to build a rapport with the owner. Anyway, goodness knows what the ghosts think of the looters who come in the night.
