Elizabethtown Homestead, #2 at the old “ghost” town site in northern New Mexico. For the past few years I’ve been making images of the abandoned homesteads around this area and over the border in southern Colorado. The collection is growing, and as these treasures are now beginning to vanish, I’ve put together a collection of images made over the last couple of decades that are now “gone”. More of those later. This homestead in Elizabethtown appears to be pulling apart and heading in two separate directions. The cemetery is just up the hill to the right. Thanks for looking. G
Canada Geese, on the banks of a catchment pond, Eagle Nest, New Mexico. We took a drive today around the Enchanted Circle, at times, in blizzard conditions. Following lunch and a pint in Angel Fire, on the drive home, this pair of geese popped up on the embankment of a catchment pond. They have a propensity for popping up. Fun day! Thanks for looking. G
On the hill, abandoned adobe home, under a New Mexico sky. I pulled over when I saw the clouds, anticipating they would develop into some impressive lenticular formations. Not this time, but I liked the soft light at midday in San Cristobal. Thanks for looking. G

Holman Presbyterian Mission Chapel School. So I thought I’d share this image, the feature of the last couple of days images, in it’s fabulous state of decay on the road to Mora New Mexico. I’ve been visiting here for years and it’s plain to see the rapid changes that occur when the locations are left to the elements and nature has its way with them. Thanks for looking. G
