Highway lightning strike, on the Hondo Mesa, Taos NM. Right now it feels a bit like Wales on the mesa. This system brought a lot of rain, a real good ground soaking rain. Thanks for looking. G
Hollyhock at the Saint Francis Church, Ranchos de Taos. The hollyhocks are hanging on and still blooming. The seeds on some plants are ready to start collecting in numerous locations around town. I’m going to plant in the garden for next year. Thanks for looking. G

The old Diner at the junction of US 64 and US 285 Tres Piedras, NM. Looking through the windows of the old diner takes me back many years when one could get a really good green chile cheese burger here. The routes, US 64 from the Outer Banks, in North Carolina and US 285 from Sanderson Texas still intersect here. Alas… no one is getting a burger anymore much less a coffee. That said, the Chili Line Depot, a little ways up the road on US 285, will welcome your with home cooking and “pie”. Hey, thanks for looking. G
Ute Mountain Clouds, on the Taos Volcanic Field, northern New Mexico. Not much rain from the monsoons where we live, but the afternoon cloud buildup makes for some fine images. Thanks for looking. G
Valle Vidal, “Valley of Life”, in the mountains of northern New Mexico. Beautiful alpine meadows and streams, expansive vistas of the high peaks of the Sangre de Cristos, including Wheeler Peak the highest point in New Mexico, and this towering plant (6 feet tall) and I have no idea what it is. Any guesses? Thanks for looking. G
Harold’s House, Jaroso, in the San Luis Valley, Colorado. The first time I saw this house there was a matching tree to the right of the building where the stump is now. There was a large Great Horned Owl flew out of it and through the scene. I didn’t spot it until I reviewed the images later. It was sitting in the tree the whole time that I was making images. Goes to show, you never know who, pardon the pun, maybe watching. Thanks for watching. G

Penitente Morada, in Abiquiu, NM. I’ve been going through the archives again this week, and found a few images like this one from almost ten years ago. Long before they put up the “No Tresspassing” sign, I would walk up to the building and yes, make and image, but also spend a moment in peaceful tranquility and personal reflection. It’s a stunning location here, where this building sits, overlooking the Rio Chama Valley. I added a couple of links below of the view from here. Thanks for looking. G
