Red-tailed Hawk, in the old cottonwood in Arroyo Hondo, NM. The guardian of the Hondo Valley, steadfast and true. Shows up daily without fail. Critters beware! Thanks for looking. G

Great capture! They are so beautiful. They hang around here in the forest a lot too.

We have so many here now. They are a pleasure to watch and photograph. One gets used to their habits. Thanks Elaine. G
Shows up daily without fail – sounds like Geraint!
That’s funny but yes I endeavor to! Thanks Dan. G
Looks like you would not mess with him
I think the beak and talons would hurt for sure. His expression is enough to ward one off! Thanks Alison. G
Very nice light showing the red tail and matching tone in his eye. Well seen!
I always notice that feature about them. The tails feathers appear so red and obvious with age, time of year and their “morph”. Thanks Ron. G
Spectacular image. I so love hawks.
They are my favorite bird for sure. Thank you Sandy. G
