White House, Petaca, northern New Mexico, on the backroads of rural New Mexico surrounded by miles and miles of piñon pine and juniper hills. As the saying goes, “it’s not the middle of nowhere, but you can see it from here”. Then we come across this scene. A half block long, white-washed building, in a hamlet where people stop their cars and say “hello” as we make images of the house, shining under a deep blue, only in New Mexico, sky. Thanks for looking. G

Beautiful in B+W!
Thank you Ron. Did I take you here? G
My Grandfather Jose Jaramillo built this White House structure. He owned the house connected to it and had the little store in front. Thank Yoy, Alberta Jaramillo
It’s good to meet you here. Do you live there now? If so was it you I met the day I photographed this building. It is one of my favorite drives and I love the house your grandfather built. Thank you for sharing this with me. Best wishes. Geraint
