Saturn, Jupiter, with three of its moons, and our Moon. The first photo is a wider view of the arrangement and the second photo is a glimpse of Jupiter and three moons. I hope you can get a look at Jupiter the, brightest light in a generally southwest direction. The moons are visible with a pair of binoculars and good eyesight. Not with my eyes, I need the help of a digital camera. Thanks for looking. G

Amazing what’s out there
It truly is. Thanks Alison. G
VERY cool….how long was the exposure to get Jupiter & it’s moons? What lens/setting? Thanks , John
Quite short really, on a tripod, 1/10 sec – f7.1 – ISO 400 @ 300mm. I miss my 500 with extender sometimes. Thanks, John. G
Sweet. I wish we had three moons. Building up for when Jupiter and Saturn align…or close to it? We have a pair of cardinals visiting a feeder below the apartment window. My gear is stowed for awhile as we pamper the cat and deal with a temporary move. “Where’s the typing paper?”
I’m looking forward to that event in December. Very glad to hear you made it and I’ll look for your images of the Cardinals. Thank you, Larry. G
