Greetings from San Cristobal, NM. This week a bunch of snow geese and a couple of turkeys shot in the Bosque del Apache around this time of year almost twenty years ago.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Formation flying is a thing.
And stealth formation at the Bosque del Apache NWR, NM
Two wild turkeys, and if you’d like to see more birds check out this post from last year.
As always, thanks for looking. Have a great week and holiday. G

Needless to say, I love birds and these are really great shots (meaning I’m jealous I didn’t get them, lol!)
Happy Thanksgiving to you and Pam, Geraint.
Paul
Thanks so much Paul, that means a lot. Happy thanksgiving. G
Amazing that you captured the birds in formation! That’s the sort of luck that is hard earned. Wonderful. Sure do like those turkeys, too.
And to think that these shots were from my early days of digital photography. Thanks so much, Jo. Happy thanksgiving to you and John. G
Amazing photos. I love the formation flying shot. Greetings from France.
Thank you so much, Norma. Say hello to France. G
Wonderful photos, Geraint. Thanks for always lifting our spirits. Happy Thanksgiving.
Happy thanksgiving to you, Jim. Thanks so much. G
Spectacular. The author of RAIN OF GOLD, Victor Villasenor holds an annual “Snow Goose Thanksgiving” on the Sunday before Thanksgiving, at his hacienda in Carlsbad, California. The story is about his family’s life in Colca Canyon, Chihuahua and their flight to the USA. I attended twice in the early ’90’s and was able to see his mother and aunt whose stories I had so enjoyed. I have not seen a Snow Goose so I have always been curious as to how they look in flight. I shared your link with Victor.
That’s quite an experience and I’m honored you shared your story and a link with Victor. I hope you had a good thanksgiving, thanks so much, Joy. G
BEAUTIFUL! NEW AND OLDER PHOTOS 🧡
HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO YOU & YOURS

Nice set of photos, I especially like the lurking turkeys.
Thank you Bob. I like that… “lurking turkeys”, hahaha. G
