Greetings from New Mexico. This week a random selection of lone trees around this area, in black and white.
I’m rather partial to lone trees and since the fall of the iconic Taos Welcome Tree, I see them everywhere, especially out in the vast open places.

Such amazing variety of shapes and sizes
I find these very moving, several favorites I keep returning to…Two Lone Trees, Young Cottonwood, Ute Mountain and Black Lake, just so lovely.
One is the loneliest number… hear the wind blow. Time to play with infrared?
