Super Moon Vallecito Mountain Taos, New Mexico. We purposefully made a trip out to the west rim of the Rio Grande Gorge to watch the super moon rise tonight. The high mountains of the Sangre de Cristos blocked the moon rise and allowed us some twenty minutes to chat with a visiting photographer who had dropped in from Colorado to photograph the high bridge and the gorge. We were sharing stories about life, travels and photography etc. when I felt like someone clamped the defibrillator leads on my chest and shocked my heart awake when I saw this sight! Check out the “absolute” full moon tomorrow December 3, 2017. Thanks for looking. G

AMAZING!
Thank you Judy. It really was a special and amazing moment. G
Amazing!! Colors are beautiful.
Thank you Brenda. It was spectacular in a softly muted way, as the clouds soften everything. G
Awesome.
Thank you Elizabeth. We do our best to go somewhere each month to watch the full moon rising and it often feels like it’s the first time we’ve ever seen a moon! It’s always exciting. G
WOW
And I thought the Moon over the Atlantic with the Christmas boat parade was picture worthy!
Thank you Mary. I love watching the moon rise or set over the ocean. (haven’t seen it in a while). But I bet it did look great from your view. G
WOW! I just about hyperventilated when I saw this, so I can only imagine what it was like to be there, in person, on the bridge!
Can’t wait to see what you come up with tonight. Enjoy!
Thanks you C.C. Well weve got clouds and it hasn’t emerged yet! I will be watching. But in the meantime enjoy another image from a little later yesterday evening. G
