Some shots around the extended neighborhood these last couple of weeks. Still a lot of snow in the high country and a brightly colored cattle guard glowing like Kodachrome® yellow. An Osprey with a half-eaten fish on a fence post in the Chama Valley followed by an elk skull and antlers with a backdrop of San Antonio Mountain and great sky over the Volcanic Plateau. A few days ago we cruised north into the San Luis Valley and found an RV standing alone under a brooding sky and the Road G intersection with Road 7 looking north towards Blanca Peak and south to Ute Mountain. Last but not least on a photo tour/workshop two weeks ago, Chile Trompe l’oeil in Costilla and El Rito, NM. Thanks for checking in and looking and for all the great comments, emails, and compliments. Hey Geraint…if our footsteps/car tracks were pigmented we’d see them crisscrossing all over this beautiful land we live in…the Osprey pic is exceptional to me in that I have never seen one up so close…
Jo’s wish is to come back as an Osprey…I’d come back as that turquoise door to tell tales of yore….
So eloquently put, John. The Ospreys are up and down the Chama Valley and around Heron and Vado Lakes. Take a drive. You won’t be disappointed. Thank you, my friend. G
Simply….I must return to the high desert.
You really should. How long has it been? It might be time!. Thanks, Carole. G
Road G for “Geraint.”
Inspiring as always.
Thank, you Rob. Unlike Georgia O’Keefe taking ownership of Cerro Pedernal, I have merely adopted “Road G” for myself.
I appreciate your concise comments, Ron thank you! I hope you’re well. G
Thank you, Laura. G
Love this area, and your fotos.
It’s one of my favorite areas. Thanks so much, Mari. G
A great set of photos in the areas I love, including Road G, Costilla and El Rito.
Thanks so much, Terry. One of my favorite areas. G
Wonderful shots, every one, the blue door is my favorite.
Toute á l’heure,
Thanks, Larry. You’ll see the blue door tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing you. G
All the road pics need is a red BT Phone Booth at the corner to have a real winner. Seriously, love to see the area through your lenses.
I should keep on in the back of the car. Next time. Thanks, Bob. G
